This is a 6 week class that takes place at Camp Paradise.
Ages 15-99
The jam class would offer instruction and development of participants (all ages, mature young adults) to advance their ability to play with others and learn new songs and techniques in a group setting. All instruments and singers are welcome. Guitar players would have to be knowledgeable of basic chords and strumming or fingerpicking techniques. The jam class will work on songs that will allow participants to play together using various techniques and chords. A sound system will be provided for singers and allow some musicians to plug acoustic instruments into. Other musicians are welcome to bring amps. A consistent sound level will be maintained at all times.
The jam class is all about playing, jamming and connecting with other musicians. You can try out new ideas experiment with new gear, perfect your technique and singing all in a comfortable, supportive live setting. The Jam class will work on various genres, like blues, country-rock and rock, in a group setting, everyone participates. The instructor hosts an open mic at a local pub in Beverly, so there is the opportunity to perform live.
INSTRUCTOR BIO: Bob “Colorado Bob” Kramer is a seasoned award winning performer and multi-instrumentalist whose love for the Delta and Piedmont styles resonates through his energetic playing and his rootsy singing. He performs using a variety of instruments to produce his jazzy folk/blues original sound, including slide guitar, National resonator guitar, mandolin and harmonica. Colorado Bob performs solo, duo or with his trio. He also hosts an open mic at the Indo Pub, Beverly.
