This is a 5 week class running each Wednesday from 5.17-6.14. All classes will be 1:30 to 2:30 at Obear Park. The rain date for this class will be June 21st.
Advanced Beginner Clinic: For players with some court experience, looking to improve consistency of their shots and game strategy. This clinic will help players to develop and maintain solid serve and return of serve shots. In addition, we will review stroke mechanics and footwork for ground strokes and volley shots. There will be emphasis on the dink shot and ways to develop this very important skill. Players will be introduced to the progressive warm up. By the end of the clinic, players will understand the importance of the 3rd shot drop and have practiced some of the mechanics of this shot. All learning will be reinforced through game play or game play scenarios.
Instructor Bio:
Sue Carnevale, IPTPA Certified Pickleball Teaching Professional, Level 1 and Level 2
Sue has been playing pickleball for over ten years. Upon being introduced to pickleball, she was so hooked that she put a court at her home. Sue has won many tournaments, including a silver medal in doubles at the US Open in 2019, multiple gold medals in the Massachusetts Senior Games, as well as a bronze in the Bay State Games and the Atlantic Regional. She has taught hundreds of players the game of pickleball and has recently become a Certified Ratings Specialist, CRS -4.
