FAQs
How’re you doing?
Fine, thanks. You?
I love pickleball! Where can I play in Beverly?
Birch Plains (3LP Henderson Rd.) has a set of permanent pickleball courts, where you don’t have to bring any nets. Beverly High School (100 Sohier Rd.), and Obear Park (145 Livingstone Ave.) both have their own sets of painted courts. They are on a first come-first serve basis, and you can bring your own net to use at these courts. If helpful, we have nets available to rent at the Beverly Recreation Department. They are offered at $20 for a 48 hr. period. Please fill out this form and bring it down to our office (55 Ober St, Lynch Park) to reserve a net. Pickleball courts are open from 8am-dusk on weekdays, and 9am-dusk on weekends and holidays. Also, if you’re looking to perfect that kitchen dink, make sure to check our calendar at the top of this page for any upcoming pickleball classes.
How can I sponsor a BevRec event?
If you are interested in sponsoring one of BevRec’s many events (concerts, movie nights, rec league teams), please email Jon to discuss.
How can I advertise with BevRec?
Our email newsletter reaches more than 2,300 people each week and our website sees more than 6,500 unique visitors each month on average. For advertising opportunities as well as pricing, please click here.
I would like to memorialize a loved one at Lynch Park or another park important to our family.
We receive many phone calls from people looking to honor loved ones through various methods at our parks. We are currently offering beautiful engraved picnic tables with personalized messages. Families have already donated these tables at both Lynch Park as well at Obear Park. If you are interested, please email Jon for more information.
I’m in desperate need of lobster and fireworks! Where can I get more information about Beverly Homecoming?
Many people do not know that the Beverly Recreation Department does not run Homecoming… though we work very closely with the group who puts it all together. We know. It’s confusing. If you are interested in The Beverly Homecoming Committee and their many fantastic events, you can find more information here.
